I've highlighted a bug that I'm hoping can be fixed... When using the autoscoring feature, I can add points onto a given application without issue... it shows up in the autoscoring results. But the subsequent features of scoring groups and the award allocation function does not work correctly without a judges score being entered...
The award allocation function does not work if the only score entered is an auto-score, it requires a judge's response as well, which is problematic (as it does not seem to use the Combined score value to determine the award allocation). It also seems that we would have to run the award allocation manually on a regular basis to actually have the auto-scoring function work with the scoring groups assigning the score category and forwarding status... which seems odd to require a manual process...
I would like for the scoring group/award allocation feature to be updated to use the combined score even when a judge score is not yet completed (this seems more like a bug fix than a feature request).
I would appreciate it if there was an option to automatically apply the scoring group results/award allocation upon an application having a complete status.
This is an interesting issue I can't remember coming up.
The crux of it comes down to Auto Score "automatically applying points to a submission" versus it scoring an application. So "adding scores" vs "scoring".
It's developed and is used as a way to complement judge evaluation / rank scores - not to replace them.
Solving this is a new possible milestone and I appreciate you brining it up.
