Request: Client would like a pop up reminder if close to database or media storage limits.
Rationale: Clients are sometimes unaware of what their limits are or if they're close to the limits. A popup would help notify them if they are close to the limits. This would also prevent clients from needing to download years worth of data at a time.

System Logs
OpenWater includes several built in log capabilities. (Please note that these logs do require specific admin permissions.) If you go to the left hand side System Logs, you'll be able to view logs such as:

Google Analytics
Adding Google Analytics to your instance could be a useful way to get insight into who is coming to your OpenWater website, and what they are doing once they get there.
Adding Google Analytics (or another javascript-based tool of choice) is relatively straightforward. Check out this help article for more detail on how to get started.

Show and tell section
Do you have any unique ways of doing things in OpenWater?
Maybe you have a judging process that's a little out of the box, or a great shortcut for assigning submissions to judges.
Or maybe your submission form is long and convoluted and you have a hunch someone, somewhere, might have already streamlined a similar form.
If so, head on over to our Show and Tell section. Tell us what you have done with your OpenWater programs, or search for ideas to see what unique things other folks have done.

Judge Recusal
Oftentimes the folks who are doing the judging are also applicants. And if they're not applicants, their friends, coworkers, or family members might be.
While it's recommended to manually check that judges haven't been assigned their own submissions, sometimes the process of figuring out any conflicts of interest are not so straightforward.
In circumstances like these we suggest enabling the judge recusal feature. This will give judges a chance to recuse themselves from judging any application they've been assigned. They'll also have a chance to give the reason for their recusal. From the admin side, it's possible to export the list of recusals as well as the reasons for them.

Feature requests
Do you have ideas for feature requests that would improve the quality of your, your applicants', or your judges' experiences with OpenWater?
If so feel free to head on over to the Feature Requests section of our community. You can browse feature requests that other folks have submitted, add your own comments or support for the requests, as well as add your own feature requests.

New importers are live
Just in case you missed it, I wanted to highlight that the importers are now live. The October 21 update goes into detail on the different types of imports and the overall features of the import functionality.
One of the features I'm most looking forward on the importers is they will automatically identify up to 50 rows and give you a chance to fix the errors. If you've ever done data imports before you know how important clean data is; however, stuff happens and sometimes incorrect info sneaks through even the most carefully scrubbed dataset. This feature should save some time while making it clear which row(s) contain the bad data.

What to do after the judges have scored the submissions
The submission period is closed, the judges have done all their work, and the scores are in! Now you want to be able to view the judging results and determine winners.
Check out the view results of judging section of the OpenWater wiki to view how-to articles as well as learn more about a few advanced settings such as combining judge scoring, the public vote, and auto-scoring rules into a single score.

Exporting data
There often comes a time when admins might want to export data. This might include:
- PDFs of applications from what the applicant sees;
- PDFs of applications from what the judge sees;
- Bulk downloads of applications;
- Excel reports of submissions;
- Excel reports of judge scores as well as applicant answers;
- Excel reports of overall scores;
- Financial reports.
Many of these reports can also be further modified with the OpenWater condition builder.
For more information on the different types of reports and exports, as well as the condition builder, check out our help center.

Add Export to Judging > Status by Nominations View
Feature request:
Add an export button to the Judging > Status by Nominations page.
Uses:
Sometimes admins need an easy way to see how many judges have scored each assignment. While it's possible to use Excel to get that info, it requires some knowledge of Excel vs just clicking an Export button.
Function:
Download the Status by Nominations page to an Excel file.
